bluebed: I was going through the List of Things I haven’t Failed At (Yet) and was shocked to discover that I haven’t (yet) failed at creating my own personal useless punctuation character. Well, not anymore. Meet the Patheto-Bang, an easy way to put the Wah Wah Waaaah Trombone on paper. Example: “Roman thought that coming up with a pointless symbol will make him universally loved & admired, but he soon realized that it’s a thought worthy of his pathetic patheto-bang [patheto-bang] [period]” Put it before a question mark to make your question sound pathetically ironic! One might even pair it with an interrobang. Whatever you do, don’t use it as a verb. You may be surprised to find that the Patheto-Bang is not present on your keyboard (yet). Please check back tomorrow.
